New Zealand Maori Haka T-Shirt

This finely detailed Maori design features the Haka.

According to Maori legend, the Haka dates to around 1810 when chief Te Rauparaha of the Ngati Toa tribe was being chased on New Zealand's north island by enemies. After hiding in a pit storing sweet potatoes, he climbed out to find someone standing over him.

Expecting to be killed, he was so relieved to be greeted instead by a friendly local chief that he burst into the version of the Haka the New Zealand All Blacks still use before each game today.

"It is death, it is death, it is life it is life; this is the man who enabled me to live as I climb up step by step toward sunlight," the chant says.

The T-Shirt is 100% cotton and printed with glow in the dark inks - a unique Maori T-Shirt to wear with pride.

New Zealand Maori Haka Wallhanging

This Wallhanging Measures 55cm x 71cm
(22 Inch x 28.4 Inches)

The same amazing Haka design found on the t-shirt above is also available on a screenprinted wallhanging by Aotearoa. It's made from cotton fabric which is screenprinted and then the back is coated with a fuzzy flock type layer which makes this wallhanging stiffen.

Unlike posters and other art prints, this print will last forever as it will not rip or tear and it is just perfect for framing.

Just like our Haka T-Shirt, this wallhanging is also printed with Glow in the Dark Inks.
